Would Someone Please Order Summer
Oslo Thursday 26th August 2004
It was only five minutes since the silly season started and now it's drawing to a close. Weather wise, it's been rather a let down to be honest. Other than a two or three week decent spell from mid July it's been a bit of a washout. Having said that, the rest of western Europe has not fared a whole lot better and nobody knows whether to wear shorts or jeans these days.... but an umbrella is always worth carrying. At least the last couple of weeks has seen the English Premiership season get underway once again and West Bromwich Albion remain undefeated, but that's probably not going to last too much longer. Anyway, it does tend to herald the end of the tourist season in the pubs and a return to the regular football watchers. There have been some great games so far this season and they have pulled big crowds into the local bars.

You may have noticed one or two different ads on the site. We have included eBookers now and will be adding Air France and some other travel related sites as soon as I work out how to write the Javascript to get them to rotate :-) If you are booking a trip in the near future and do plan to use one of our sponsors, then please click through an ad on the site as we do receive a small commission for all purchases which does help to offset the running costs.

Watch out for some new Oslo and International pub updates in the coming days and don't forget it's the Oktoberfest in Munich in just three weeks time and with any luck Oslopubs may be there to record the event !

Cheers from Oslopubs !
