Gordon Biersch has around 17 similar
outlets
in the
US,
but
the brewery
is
the place to be. My personal favourite and indeed their most popular
beer is Märzen, but you can sample all of their beers if you like
and without feeling the effects ! They will serve a sample of all of
their beers in smaller glasses for a small fee and then you can choose
which one to take in a larger glass. The restaurant here is first rate
and you can even sit outside during the day, but make sure that you
get a table that will remain well and truly in the shade for the duration
of your meal, as the Californian sunshine will give you sunstroke pretty
quickly if you are not careful. For anyone who can't get to an outlet,
then Gordon Biersch products are widely stocked throughout the US in
supermarkets. 
I have never seen them on sale outside the US, but
I could be wrong. This is also a decent sports bar and they have a
number of screens at the bar if American sports is what you want to
see. Don't expect to watch a European soccer match here though ! Gordon
Biersch is a small, family owned business, that has only been around
since 1988
and
what
progress
they
have made
in that short period. Take a look at their excellent web site for more
information about their beers and the brewing process. You have to
taste this stuff.... you won't regret it !
