  They say this is the only traditional European Jazz club in New Orleans, but it certainly has a very German feel to it. This place does get busy and for a very good reason.... the music is excellent. Many of the other party bars in Bourbon Street are nothing more than karaoke bars these days, but at Fritzels you will find New Orleans Jazz at its very best, plus they will often host bands from around the world. Its not such a big place and it amazes me how they get a ten or twelve piece band in there... but they do... and you should go there. No self respecting jazz fan would go to New Orleans and not go to Fritzels.
