I was unsure whether to add them to the pub or the
restaurant section. I decided to stick with the pubs side, because
they brew such excellent and unique beer for this area. The food is
superb too but I guess it's the beer that they are famous for. Going
for an "after work" drink is not a very Californian thing
to do, but what better than a cool drink overlooking the lake at the
Faultline
after a hard day in the office !. Indeed, according to their excellent
web site, it was voted the best after work bar by 
the
first time and it looked so good that I just had to take a picture
before eating it. The bar is always crowded
and there's often a good following in there for a big ball game. Service
is good, but the waiters have been known to run off while taking your
order to check what's going on in the game if they hear a roar from
the bar ! I can live with that though. I guess it's just part of the
character. I don't think this is the place I would come to for a quiet
meal, it's more a big party restaurant 
for
me. I would not come on Saturday or Sunday either, because for some
very strange reason they
don't open ! Anyway, if you are in the area, stop by for a pint and
something to eat. Booking a table for dinner is strongly recommended,
as this place is really busy, particularly in the Summer time. On the
busiest days you will even find it hard to park your car. So, you have
been warned, get there early to avoid disappointment, even if all you
want is a beer. Don't forget to take your camera and tell them Oslo
Pubs sent you !
