traveled
to Stockholm over a number of years and I had never ever heard of this
place, until an English friend
told me all about the place at a beer festival. It truly is perhaps
the best bar in Stockholm and indeed one of the best places that I
have ever had the pleasure to have visited anywhere in the world. Their
selection of beers from around the world is quite awesome. They do
specialise in Belgian beers as their name suggests, and they have a
superb selection of beers that you won't find in many places in Stockholm,
including Leffe and 
St
Bernadus. Indeed, they have a better selection of Belgian beers than
most Belgian bars ! They also have a great selection
of everything good that comes from the US (and yes there ARE some good
breweries in the States) and they have some very interesting real ales
from the UK, including a selection of quality guest beers. Akkurat
is also noted for it's whisky and they will even run a group tasting
for you. What better way is there to meet up with old friends than
to have a tasting session at Akkurat ? I often wonder how many people
in 
Stockholm
don't know about this place. If it was 100m down the road on Götgatan,
then I am sure it would be packed every day and night, but in Hornsgatan
and being set back from the road too,
they simply don't get the passing trade. Having said that though, when
you have a place that's this good, you certainly don't want too many
people to know about it :-) Check out their excellent and very informative
