with us. It's quite close to the
old town square, but very much tucked away in one of the back streets
and not the easiest place to find unless someone took you there. It's
well worth finding though as the beer here is very cheap and the food
excellent and very inexpensive. It's a rather more modern authentic
Czech bar that probably would not have pleased the former communist
rulers. On first entering the place, you find the bar at the upper
level. This
area
is for drinking
only
and
they
serve the most amazing pretzels ever ! However, if you walk
down the 
stairs at the back of the bar, it takes you into their cavernous
bar/restaurant at the rear. It might be difficult to find, but perhaps
there is a reason for that in that they don't need to attract new customers.
Whenever we went there, it was always rather full and we often saw
large parties being turned away. The menu has something for everyone,
so you won't be disappointed. We can certainly recommend the pigs knee
as pictured below. It's skewered and served on a rather odd looking
wooded and metal contraption that rather resembles 
an old Singer sewing
machine ! The wooden base is covered with a variety of different and
tasty sauces to suit every palate. Please be warned though. This is
a huge meal for those with larger appetites
and you
don't need a side order of French fries. When you go, please tell them
Oslopubs sent you and they will probably reply with "WHO ??" :-)
