It's popular with ex pats, travelers and younger Czechs and certainly
not the older
generation. There's also a lot of movies being filmed in the Prague
area and we are told that the Marquis de Sade is popular with film
crews. Most of the furniture has seen better days ! No, i'll tell it
as it really is..... most of the furniture is basically falling apart
and should have been burned years ago, but in a strange kind of way
that seems to add to the atmosphere of the place. Beer is cheap and
the 
service
good and perhaps this is the place to try your first Absinth if you
feel brave. They have live music too which is sometimes popular.
There's a happy 'Two Hours' between 16:00 and 18:00 each day, where
the beer is just 18 Kc, which is perhaps as cheap as you will find
anywhere
in central Prague. Please be warned though..... it's a great and relaxing
place for the younger generation and those who are not so fussy about
unimportant things like the toilet. One group of tourists left because
the one and 
only
ladies toilet was 'full' and we don't mean full of people ! It's worth
a visit to soak up the atmosphere, admire the artwork or maybe meet
a movie star, but i'm sure that it won't become your Praha local.
